What changes
No more open flame in a small building that is often left unattended. No more wax or cups to clear away. The gesture stays the same for the visitor: press a button, the candle glows for five hours, the offering goes into the box.

The place
A parish equipping two buildings at once: its collegiate church and a chapel.
The installation
Two 40-candle stands. One runs on mains power; the other, in a place with no socket within reach, on a rechargeable external battery.
What changes
The same solution for the main church and for a place without electricity. No electrical work needed in the building. The sacristan no longer scrapes wax or manages a stock of votive candles.

No more soot on the walls or the furnishings. No more waste. A power draw of a few watts. The faithful light their candle as before.
